RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY
Return Period We offer a 30-day return policy from the date you receive your item.
Eligibility Requirements To qualify for a return, items must be:
- Unused and in original condition
- In original packaging with all labels, tags, and manuals intact
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
How to Initiate a Return Contact us at sales@kingshardware.co.za with your order number and reason for return. Once approved, we'll provide instructions for returning your item.
Product-Specific Restrictions The following items cannot be returned once opened or used:
- Paint, stains, varnishes, and liquid products (may be returned if unopened and sealed)
- Cut materials (wire, cable, piping, timber cut to custom sizes)
- Electrical items that have been installed, connected, or removed from sealed packaging
- Plumbing fittings that have been installed or used
- Custom-mixed, tinted, or special-order products
We do not accept returns on:
- Hazardous materials, aerosols, and flammable liquids
- Sale, clearance, or discontinued items (unless faulty)
- Gift cards
- Items without original packaging or proof of purchase
Damaged or Defective Items Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. Contact us at sales@kingshardware.co.za within 48 hours if you receive:
- Defective or damaged items
- Wrong or missing items
- Items that do not match the product description
We'll arrange collection or replacement at no cost to you for faulty or incorrect items.
Returns Process
- Returns must be authorized before shipping items back to us
- Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or we made an error
- Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted
- All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt
Exchanges To exchange an item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for your preferred product. This ensures you receive your replacement as quickly as possible.
Refunds Once we receive and inspect your return:
- You'll be notified within 3 business days whether your refund is approved
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days
- Please allow additional time for your bank to process the refund

Consumer Rights This policy does not affect your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008. You have statutory rights regarding faulty goods that cannot be excluded. Faulty goods may be returned, repaired, or refunded according to your legal rights.
